Let’s talk through your results.

Thirty minutes, on video or by phone. We go through your Executive Operating Index result, what the scores actually suggest, and what I would look at first if this were an engagement.

It is free. I run a small number each week while I am building the research behind the Index, and these conversations are most of how I learn what is actually true about executive operating systems.

What happens in thirty minutes

First five minutes. What you are actually dealing with, in your words. I want to hear the problem before I interpret the numbers.

Next fifteen. Your result. Which component came out lowest, whether I think that is the real constraint or a symptom of something upstream, and what the gap between your self assessment and the numbers you reported suggests.

Last ten. What I would do first, specifically enough to start on Monday. And what I would expect to find if we looked at sixty days of your actual calendar data, which is usually the more interesting conversation.

You will leave with a named constraint and one concrete first move. That is the whole point of the thirty minutes.

Why it is free

I am building a body of research on how senior leaders actually allocate attention, decisions, and delegated capacity. There is very little real data on this, which is odd given how much gets written about it.

The Index gives me numbers. These conversations give me the part numbers cannot: why the pattern exists, what people call it when nobody is listening, and which of my assumptions are wrong.

So this is a trade, and I would rather name it than pretend otherwise. You get thirty minutes of focused attention on your operating system. I get to understand the problem better.

What this is not

It is not a sales call. I am not selling anything at volume right now, and I would rather have a hundred of these conversations than close one engagement badly.

It is not coaching. We are not going to work on presence, influence, or difficult conversations. That is a real discipline and it is not mine.

If at some point it looks like there is a reason to work together, I will say so plainly rather than steering the conversation there. And if there is not, I will say that too.

‍What to have ready

Three things, and none of them take preparation:

  • Your Index result. It arrives by email after you take the assessment.

  • Your top three priorities for this quarter.

  • A rough sense of where last week actually went.

If you have not taken the Index yet, do that first. It takes about five minutes and it is what we will spend most of the call discussing.

Book a time

Use the meeting scheduler tool on this page to grab a time. I hold between 1-3 of these each week. If nothing on the calendar works, email me and we will find something.

Questions

Do I have to take the Index first? Not required, but the call is considerably better if you have. Otherwise we spend the first fifteen minutes assembling by conversation what fifteen questions would have given us in five.

Is this really free? Yes. See above for why.

What if my result was fine? Those are often the more interesting calls. A high score with poor underlying numbers is one of the most common patterns in this work, and it is the one most worth talking through.

Is this confidential? Entirely. Nothing from these conversations goes anywhere with your name or your company attached. If I ever want to use something as an anonymized example, I will ask first.

Can my leadership team do this together? Not in this format. Team work is a different conversation and a different scope. Mention it through the contact form and we can talk about it.
