A shared document is not shared understanding

TYPE: Note

MATURITY: Captured in November 2022

IDEA: I heard this during a leadership coaching session. Just because I share a document, file, link, video, note, whatever… does not mean that I am sharing my understanding of the item being shared with the individual or group I am sharing it with. There needs to be further context, direction, or whatever my expectation is of sharing the item in the first place. Even if it is solely just being shared as an FYI, I should state that up front.
